Production Lead
The production lead is responsible for ensuring efficient completion of production orders and leading the development process for new products and overseeing and directing the members of the production team. This role is instrumental in ensuring the smooth functioning and delivery of on-time shipments and communicating with other departments to determine schedules and priorities. This person is expected to spend the majority of time working in the production area performing hands-on work and directing other team members.

- Effective, professional, and timely, ongoing communication and intricate coordination with related departments, managers and staff to set priorities and accomplish goals.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Monitor and manage production stock levels and consumables.
- Maintain tools and equipment is safe working order.
- Keep operations manager and other department managers informed of any issue(s) that can impact workflow.
- Continuous self-evaluation of productivity and suggestion of alternatives to increase productivity.
Core Responsibilities
▪ Complete production orders in a timely manner
▪ Confirm completed production orders in SAP
▪ Create, update and maintain detailed written processes for production items
▪ Directing team members to ensure efficient production schedule and monitoring their performance.
▪ Cross training team members.
▪ Provide a weekly report to operations manager.
Participate as a member of the VAHLE Inc. safety team ensuring all warehouse employees follow safety protocols.
Collaborate with team members for continuous improvement of processes in area of responsibility and in close collaboration with relevant interfaces.
Communicate any deficiencies in the warehouse observed and can be improved upon.
Cross training team members with packaging knowledge for key customers (USPS, Flextronics, etc)
Cross training team members with SAP knowledge. Perform other duties as required by the nature of the position or as requested by the Operations Manager.
